We love to do crafts in my home. Every holiday, birthday, season, anytime of the year we find crafts to do. This spider web Halloween craft for kids is so simple. Kids of all ages can enjoy this one, I’m 30-ish 😉 and I still love it. The Spider Web Craft will take mere minutes from start to finish. Literally this Halloween craft for kids is as easy as 1, 2, 3- Display! Which is a good thing as my kids seem to not want to sit still for a very long time lately.
What you need
Paper Plates – You can obviously buy these online or just run to your local Dollar Tree and grab a pack of 40 for a buck.
Plastic Spider Rings – I grabbed a bag of these from the Dollar Tree store. I believe there are 50 in the back and they are orange and purple.
Black Yarn/String – Buy online or go into your dreaded Walmart. I scoured all the isles at my local Dollar Tree for this and came up empty handed. Maybe a “Item Request” to Dollar Tree might help. ( I dread Walmart)
Scissors – School or adult, either works just be safe.

Directions
First thing you want to do is cut the edges of the plates and make notches all the way around. Make sure you leave it jagged or the “web” will not stay in place. Then grab your string and cut a piece to the length you want. Wrap it around one time and tie it in the back.
Keep wrapping your string around the plate, creating a spider web. You can go in all directions, criss cross, straight parallel lines, the sky is the limit with this Halloween craft for kids.
Once you have your string all wrapped around the plate, tie it again in the back.
Place your spider ring on the string. I snipped the ring part on the spiders so that I could put the string through the ring and the spider won’t fall off.
You can do so many of these and none will look the same. My kids love these spider web Halloween crafts, its a tradition in our home to do them.
Do you have a craft you do every year? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
