Money Saving Coupons – Search for coupons and special discounts that will lower the price per pound. Stores often run specials to help draw in more customers but you do have to look for them. Be Selective – Don’t buy the precut hams. They cost more than the ones not already sliced and it’s really not a big deal slicing it yourself.
Buy Early – Buy your ham a few weeks early and freeze it because prices go up right before the holidays arrive. Generally the earlier you purchase your ham the better as earlier is when many stores offer the biggest discounts.
Leftovers – Freeze and save the leftovers to avoid waste. Ham tastes great no matter how you serve it whether it’s on a sandwich or part of your meals.
