Christmas is right around the corner. That kind of panics me and gets me excited all in the same breath. As much as I love Christmas, I do not like the cost that comes with it. I feel as though I am in a competition to see how much money I can spend on those I love. I am a firm believer on the frugal Christmas lifestyle. So, why not pay for a single Christmas Gift this year?
Since love cannot be bought, it’s important to look at Christmas in a different light. Here is how to NOT pay for a single Christmas gift this year.
DIY Christmas
If you are the crafty type, you are in luck. You can make everyone’s gifts. The way you can do it without spending money chooses to make something that you already have on hand. This will keep you on track with the fugal Christmas idea. Soaps, lotions, homemade frames, these are all viable options for a DIY Christmas. Most will fit into a jar and then you have personalized Gifts in a Jar! Another popular DIY are Christmas Wreaths. These will really liven up an entryway.

Re-gift those Unwanted Items
How many gifts have you been given in your lifetime? If you are not using them, it’s time to re-gift them. The items you re-gift can be spruced up to not look like re-gifted items. Put the gift in cute wrapping paper or plop it in a cute gift bag.
Decide to Serve Instead of Gift Each other
This one may be hard because everyone feels the pressure to deliver awesome Christmas gifts. If you are looking around and cannot imagine trying to squeeze even more gifts into your home, try this route. Volunteer your time instead of buying more stuff that no one needs or wants. Get the whole family involved in volunteering. You will not believe how amazing it will make your Christmas. Of course, it will also bless those you are serving.
Enter as Many Giveaways as Possible
If you look on some blogs, you will notice giveaways. Enter as many giveaways as possible! Sure, you are not guaranteed to win, but this could help you get Christmas gifts for your family and not pay a dime. The more giveaways you enter, the more chances you have to win. Also, try giveaways that offer PayPal, cash, and gift cards. Imagine what you could buy with those winnings.

This may take some organization and time on your part, but it could really work out in your favor. Look up your Direct Sales friends and family and see what goodies you can barter for – there are some amazing Direct Sales Companies.
These are just a handful of ways to not pay for Christmas gifts, what is something you would add to this list? Do you have any ideas to share?
