Ways to spend New Year’s Eve in Boise
New Year’s Eve Idaho Potato Drop – Come celebrate the fourth annual New Year’s Eve Idaho Potato Drop in downtown Boise. The festivities begin at 6 pm and last until 2 am. The event is free for the community and fun for the whole family. Enjoy live music and fireworks while you wait for the 17-foot potato to drop at midnight. The event is held at the Idaho State Capital building.
The Holiday Light Tour – Take this amazing tour and enjoy the beautiful show from the comforts of a Limousine or Black Car Sedan. Want to celebrate as a group, book the party bus tour. It’s definitely a unique way to spend NYE that you won’t soon forget.
Tamarack New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks – Spend the evening on the slopes or sitting around a bonfire while you wait for the parade to begin at 6:30. After the parade, dance to the DJs music and watch the amazing fireworks display. It free and fun for all ages.

Wahooz New Year’s Eve Party – The adult party at Wahooz’s begins at 5 pm and goes until midnight. Enjoy the party favors and pizza buffet with friends and family while you wait for the countdown for the balloon drop at midnight to welcome in the New Year.
Winter Garden aGlow – See the garden come alive with lights as you take part in the 20th Anniversary NYE event. In addition to the beautiful lights and animated displays, you can enjoy seeing model trains and listing to live music. The event runs through January 1 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Admission is free for kids under four, youths are $6 and adults are $10 on New Year’s Eve day.

Wahooz Noon New Year’s Eve Party – If you’re searching for a fun way to spend NYE with the kids, this is it. The excitement begins at 10 am and ends at 2 pm with the bubble wrap stomp and balloon drop at noon.
Overnighter at the Wings Center – Children between the age of five and twelve can spend New Year’s night having an amazing time at Wings Center while their parents enjoy a festive evening out on their own. The event begins at 7 pm on NYE night and ends at 9 am on New Year’s Day. Kids will have a ball investigating Planet Kid, playing in the rock gym, on the giant foam and bouncing on the inflatables.
