I have been asked more times than I can count “What are the best apps out there for couponing?” So, here I sit to type it all out for you, smartphone coupon apps that really pay. I’ve made it super simple so all you have to do is just click and go! I have used many, MANY apps and trust me, there are a lot- but what are the ones that actually PAY? That’s what we all want right? An app that you can actually see results from.
I am happy to say that there are quite a few! Some you will see results within a matter of minutes (if you follow the directions below) and some may take a few days (due to processing) however these apps I am about to list all have one major thing in common- THEY PAY!
Smartphone Coupon Apps That Really PAY!
This list is not in any order of preference just the main ones I use daily. Some days I use one more than others, just based on the offers they have running at the time. When you download these apps be sure to use any referral codes below to get kick start bonuses and then you will get your own personalized link to share with your friends and family.
Shopkick -Now this fun little app may have you running all over town but it’s an instant gratification app. Meaning, as you’re running your happy bum all over town you will see the results INSTANTLY. Shopkick is a scanning app. You go to stores and scan select items. You gain ‘kicks’ and after so many kicks you can turn them into gift cards, a new camera, headphones, movie tickets, gas cards, magazine subscriptions You can snag a free Kitchenaid Mixer, Moped or a Cruise even! Another way to earn kicks is from online purchases if you link your bank card. I am in love with this app, and I think you will be to!
CheckPoints– With this app you can earn points sitting at home if you want. Check-in to area locations, scan items in stores, watch short movie clips, complete offers and more, all for points. This is also an app that you can see results INSTANTLY. Your point balance will increase as you go, there’s no processing time with CheckPoints. Once you have enough points banked you can cash them out to gift cards, gas cards, products, or donate to a charity listed in the app. This is my current second favorite app! Locate Checkpoints in the App store and use referral code: mmhammers when you install.
Checkout51– Another quite popular one right now with updated weekly rebate offers is Checkout51. This app almost always has dairy and produce rebates to claim. They even offer beer rebates. Once you have done your shopping you will take a quick photo of the receipt using the app, then select the offers in which you used, and it will ask for a bar code scan of those items as well then submit your rebates. Generally within 24 hours you will see the rebate credit in your account. Once you hit $20 you can request a check mailed to you.
Receipt Hog– Feed the Pig!! The more receipts you ‘feed the pig’ with, the more points you can earn with Receipt Hog app. You can also get spins for their Hog Slots to try to earn more points. Once you have racked up enough points you can get an Amazon Gift card or Cash! Super easy app to use. Locate Receipt Hog in the App store and use referral code: GLEW2319 when you install.
Shopmium -FREE Chocolate!! Just for installing and using a referral code for Shopmium you can snag yourself a free Lindt Chocolate bar! Shopmium has rebates on magazines, organic and natural foods as well as stationary. Once you have bought any rebate items it will ask you to scan the item bar code to request the rebate. You can select to be paid out from this app via Paypal, or a bank transfer. Your payout will be instant once the rebate is approved. Locate Shopmium in the App store and use referral code: GYGKGERF when you install.
Berry Cart -If you are looking to cut your spending on organic, gluten free, Non GMO, or all natural foods you NEED this app! Every rebate on Berry Cart is exactly what you’re looking for. From snacks to drinks, even frozen entrees and vitamins! Just scan the bar codes of the items you’re redeeming rebates for to submit. The rebate cash can be turned into gift cards.
Snap by Groupon– This app has since closed down. Brand New, Smoking Hot app! I am personally in love with this one as well! Many apps offer rebates that are a one time redemption, not SNAP! These offers (many of them) are unlimited per person, few are one time. Each offer has its own terms and conditions. There are also bonus offers that are only available to select people. As long as the items are all purchased on the same receipt you are good to go. Be sure to check daily as I am already seeing many offers returning and many are getting better than the first ones!
There are many more smartphone coupon apps out there, these are just the ones that I use on a day to day basis and are my personal go to coupon apps. Here a few others you can scope out: Ibotta, and Savingstar – eCoupon site that is simply AMAZING! Do you use an app that I didn’t mention? Please leave a comment here below and tell me about it!

Wow, my daughter needs to check out BerryCart. She has celiac disease so she is always looking for ways to save on gluten free food.

My niece was diagnosed with Celiac just a few weeks ago. My sister literally trashed about 90% of their food in the house. They were having a really hard time finding foods she could eat. They stumbled upon the fact that Red Robin is Celiac friendly. Helped tremendously!

I want to try the Berry Cart app. Organic and natural foods can be so expensive. I haven’t heard of several of these, so I’ll definitely be checking them all out.
